As a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) and Division E Governor I have been reflecting on my leadership philosophy.
After a Toastmasters meeting last night, Helen told me, “I like and support you because Kristi you care!”
What Helen didn’t realize was the acronym C.A.R.E.S encapulates my leadership philosophy.
C Confidence and Contributions
A leader has confidence in their own beliefs and values contributions of others in smaller projects to help the team achieve greater goals.
A Ask and Analyze
A leader asks the member or client what their needs are what their club’s needs and analyzes what their needs are.
R Respect and Retention
A leader respects the members’ needs to retain their support.
E Energizes and Excites
A leader energizes and excites members to take action.
S Serves and Strives
A leader serves the members and strives to meet their needs.
C.A.R.E.S. embraces members’ needs to achieve greater goals!
Excellent model to follow for leadership and management. As in life, most things are accomplished via a team effort.
